Have a break from tradition and join Darbaar for a superlative Indian feast this Christmas.

Feast like royalty this New Year’s Eve at Darbaar’s Majestic Maharaja Banquet

True to style, modern Indian restaurant Darbaar will be seeing in 2018 with a grand New Year’s Eve banquet fit for royalty. Inspired by the traditions of India’s Royal Courts, the Majestic Maharaja Banquet will leave guests feeling like Maharaja (kings) and Maharani (queens) for the evening, with the full red carpet treatment, including cocktail reception and a five-course feast accompanied by DJs playing an eclectic set of R’n’B crowd-pleasers until late.

All guests will be greeted on arrival with a Darbaar Royale champagne cocktail to start the party, before being seated in Darbaar’s beautiful dining room to feast. The menu will consist of five delicious courses, carefully prepared by Chef Abdul Yaseen and the team.

To start, guests will be served a vibrant Chilli smoked lobster soup with grilled king scallop, before moving on to Darbaar’s signature Tandoori-grilled wild prawns, grilled salmon and saffron chicken tikka. For mains, guests can choose from Mewari baked leg of rabbit with corn sauce, or Roast leg of Kentish lamb served with spiced baked potatoes and saffron jus. To round off the meal, dessert will be a decadent Valrhona dark chocolate mousse with chilli and mint sorbet.

The five-course meal will cost £60pp, including welcome cocktail and entertainment, and will be on offer alongside the restaurant’s a la carte menu. For early birds who’d like to dine between 5.30pm-7pm, the menu is just £50pp.
